Two separate systems for employee time tracking and payroll processing

For over 20 years, Candace McGee has been processing payroll for different types of teams and organizations.

She has experience working in a wide range of industries, including environmental services, oil and gas, non-profits, and hospitality.

When Candace joined CRMR as a Payroll & Benefits Manager, she was able to immediately see that their system had a problem.

The company was using not one, but two different software solutions to track employee time and manage their payroll.

According to Candace, this process was not only cumbersome, it was also totally unnecessary.

In her travels as a Canadian Payroll professional, Candace has implemented and used Avanti at multiple companies.

Based on that experience, she recommended they try Avanti to streamline their payroll processing and employee time tracking needs.

With Avanti’s cloud-based technology, CRMR would be able to eliminate their dependence of two separate HR systems, and automate many of the payroll tasks that they were currently processing manually.

It was an easy to decision to make, so Candace and her new colleagues quickly began plans to implement the new software.

They set a goal for themselves to complete the project in just three months, which was ambitious considering they had to transfer data for nearly 1,000 employees before they could get the new system up and running.

But, working closely with the team from Avanti to make it happen, they managed to complete their implementation right on deadline.

“We started the implementation in January, and our hope as a company was to get everything live within three months. That was a very tight timeline, especially with the large amount of information that we needed to program.But with the help of Avanti, we were able to meet our goal.”
