Phase 1

Pre-Migration

This is about getting you and your company ready for the migration. This phase should give you a clear understanding of all the benefits of Avanti’s new cloud offering.

Who is included in Phase 1?

At this stage, it’s important to assign your main point person who will coordinate with the Avanti team. We suggest an Admin User of Avanti.

In order to be as efficient as possible, we recommend including the following people/teams during this phase:

Step 1: Initiation

During this step in your migration process, you’ll be working with your Client Success Manager to set expectations for your migration from On-Premise to SaaS.

Step 2: Planning

Once the order form is signed, it’s time to gather all the necessary information based on your current on-premise setup, brand identity, and technical requirements. This due diligence is crucial in ensuring the success of your migration.

Changes to Day-to-Day Operations

With this move, there will be changes to you and your employee’s day-to-day operations. Your CSM will go through all of this with you, but for your reference here is a summary of some key changes:

Remote Desktop Access:

You’ll be logging into your backend service through a Remote Desktop (RDP), which we will set up for you during the transition. This will be similar to how you logged into your previous On-Premise instance but it is hosted via our web servers.

Avanti Feedback Forum:

​We’ll provide you access to our feedback forum. Submit feature requests and suggestions on how we can make your job easier.

With our new cloud-based instance you’ll be given automatic access to our API documentation and endpoints to leverage for your own custom integrations. (Note: You will require a developer or third party to integrate with Avanti).
