Giveaway Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Avanti Tech Talent North Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is run by Avanti Software Inc. ("Avanti," "we," "us," or "our") in connection with Tech Talent North, Western Edition 2026. By entering, you agree to these official rules (the "Rules").

1. Entry Period

The Giveaway opens at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) on November 17, 2026 and closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on November 19, 2026 (the "Entry Period"). Entries received outside the Entry Period are not eligible.

2. Eligibility

To enter, you must:

• Be a legal resident of Canada
• Be of the age of majority in your province or territory of residence
• Be a registered attendee of Tech Talent North, Western Edition 2026

Not eligible: employees, contractors and agents of Avanti and of Cube Business Media Inc. (the event organizer), and the immediate family and household members of each.

3. How to Enter

Complete and submit the official Giveaway entry form at avanti.ca/techtalentnorth-giveaway, or by scanning an Avanti QR code at the event. You must accept these Rules to enter.

Limit one entry per person. Additional entries, and entries made through automated or bulk means, will be disqualified.

4. Prize

• One prize is available: $250 CAD in digital gift cards (approximate retail value $250 CAD).
• The winner chooses the brand or brands from the digital gift cards sold on Amazon.ca at the time the prize is ordered. If a chosen card isn't sold in a $250 value, the prize may be made up of more than one card, totalling $250 CAD.
• Avanti buys the gift cards and has them delivered to the winner's email address within 10 business days of confirming the winner.
• The prize has no cash value, must be accepted as awarded and can't be transferred or exchanged. Avanti may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a chosen card is unavailable.
• Gift cards are subject to the terms of their issuers. Amazon.ca and the gift card brands are not sponsors of this Giveaway and are not affiliated with it.

5. Draw and Odds

One potential winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries on or about November 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time at Avanti's office in Calgary, Alberta. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

6. Winner Confirmation

• Avanti will contact the potential winner by email on the day of the draw.
• To be confirmed as the winner, the potential winner must reply within two business days of that email and correctly answer, without help, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question.
• If the potential winner can't be reached, doesn't reply in time, answers the skill-testing question incorrectly or doesn't otherwise meet these Rules, they forfeit the prize and Avanti may draw another eligible entry.

7. Privacy

Avanti collects the information you provide to run the Giveaway, in line with Avanti's Privacy Policy. If you win, you agree that Avanti may share your name, company and job title with Cube Business Media Inc. for its post-event recap email. Avanti will send you marketing emails only if you opt in on the entry form.

8. General Conditions

• Avanti may verify any entry information and may disqualify any entry that is incomplete, false or fraudulent, or that doesn't follow these Rules.
• By entering, you release Avanti and Cube Business Media Inc. from any liability arising from the Giveaway or the prize, to the extent permitted by law.
• Avanti isn't responsible for entries that are lost, late or incomplete because of technical problems.
• Avanti may modify, suspend or end the Giveaway if something outside its control affects how it runs, subject to applicable law.
• You're responsible for making sure that accepting the prize complies with your employer's policies.
• Avanti's decisions on all aspects of the Giveaway are final.

9. Governing Law

These Rules are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If any part of these Rules is found to be invalid, the rest stays in full effect.
